A report published Friday in the Tampa Bay Times/Miami Herald details additional records released by the attorney representing Adam Corey, the former associate of Gillum's whose name has been mentioned as part of the Federal Bureau of Investigation probe.
About 40 people who attended the fundraiser were served filet mignons, salmon mousse canapés and cocktails, provided by 101 Restaurant, which was then run by Corey.
Alongside the racial politics in the gubernatorial race are ethical questions, particularly as they pertain to the ongoing FBI investigation into city government in Tallahassee and recent reports that Gillum had accepted a coveted ticket to the Broadway musical Hamilton from an undercover FBI agent posing as a real estate developer in 2016. "As mentioned it was a bit higher than I expected because of some last minute attendees so let me know what you would like to cover and I'll handle the rest".
"It doesn't make any sense that parents have to worry they're going to pick their kids up from school in a body bag", Gillum said. Gillum asked Corey to arrange for a room upgrade.
"He sent him a personal note", she replied. "I mean, you name it", he said this week.
"It's something that should automatically be sanctioned", he said. No contributions are reported from Mike Miller. Following the rally, Gillum was whisked onto his tour bus and drove away, despite the fact his handlers told reporters that Gillum would be made available to the media for questions immediately following the rally. "I'm certainly not gonna take anything from Andrew Gillum".
Tuesday's release of private emails and text messages by a former friend detailing the mayor's trips to Central America with lobbyists and to NY with federal investigators couldn't have come at a worse time for Gillum.
Friday's records show Leach billed Corey $200 for the round-trip flight aboard his company's jet.More news: Grocery store shooting leaves 2 dead; suspect in custody

By the time DeSantis finished spluttering, Gillum was smiling. He told former Miami Beach Mayor Philip Levine that Levine would have beat Gillum in the Democratic primary if the revelations about the "Hamilton" tickets had come out earlier.
The sting, directed at Tallahassee's Community Redevelopment Agency, was conducted on a much smaller scale, but it successfully brought into the light the not-so-leader-like qualities of an unethical politician.
The goal of the Atlanta trip is unknown.
The dinner fundraiser for Gillum was hosted at Corey's house and was described in one email as the "first kickoff event" for Gillum's gubernatorial campaign.
Anthony "Tone" Johnson, a longtime resident of St. Augustine, said he was impressed with Gillum's authenticity and passion. "My grandmother used to say, 'A hit dog will holler, ' " he began, prompting whoops from the audience. "You will have to ask him for his credit card records to determine whether he paid for them himself".
Gillum's campaign had claimed on September 4 and again this week that he received the ticket from his brother, Marcus Gillum, despite the contradictory evidence.
The complaint was filed this year by Tallahassee businessman Erwin Jackson, a longtime Gillum critic.
"As we saw with the Comey letter, Democrats are more likely to be deflated over something like this and stay home", said the consultant, who asked to remain anonymous in order to speak candidly.
