Coming as a Diwali special, the magnum-opus stars Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh as part of a star-studded ensemble that held our captive right since the film's announcement.

Made on a whopping budget, Thugs of Hindostan was touted to be high on technical values and high-octane action sequences that would provide much of an eye-candy for the audience. The ones who have watched it took to Twitter to slam it resoundingly and also posted an array of amusing memes. The characters that populate it are, like the thousand ships that the film launches in the service of a bitter early 19th century battle between the fast-expanding British East India Company and a band of intrepid rebels who refuse to be enslaved by a foreign power, as flimsy as cardboard.
