The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, is to become the National Theatre's new Royal Patron, it has been announced. The Queen held the roles at the National Theatre and Commonwealth Universities for 45 and 33 years respectively.
The Queen passed on two patronages - the National Theatre and the ACU - to the Duchess.
Meanwhile, the "ambitious" Duchess is becoming increasingly "frustrated" by The Palace rejecting all her ideas and feels she has "no voice" according to USA reports. She visited the latter on Thursday.
In addition to The National Theatre, she will serve as patron of the Association of Commonwealth Universities, Mayhew, and Smart Works - all organizations that must we say are rather fitting for the Duchess of Sussex.
It's still early in 2019 - not even two weeks of the new year have gone by - but Meghan Markle is getting to work.
