"She didn't express any fear", said the schoolteacher, adding that Jayme told her someone had killed her parents. "I'm praying she'll be okay and that she can rebuild and live her whole life and follow dreams that she never believed could happen".
A suspect has been taken into custody, he said.

Police revealed the killer was in the Closs home for only four minutes during which they stepped five feet into the house, shot James and Denise and took Jayme.
The dispatch logs reveal that a responding officer found "the door [to the Closs home had] been kicked in".
Wetterling was at a board meeting for the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in Washington, D.C. when she heard that Jayme had been found.
A $50,000 reward had been offered for any information leading to the discovery of Jayme.
In the days that followed, massive ground searchers were organized and hundreds of tips flooded into law enforcement from across the country.
"We promised to bring Jayme home and tonight we get to fulfill that promise", Chris Fitzgerald, sheriff of Barron County, said in a statement. "I've been in the dumpster for three months", he said.
Jayme was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, but her condition was not immediately clear, with the sheriff asking the media and public to respect the family's privacy. Barron, a city of less 3 square miles, has a population of about 3,300.
