Rodgers, who was 19 at the time, is suing Kelly for "sexual battery" and "willfully, deliberately and maliciously" infecting her with herpes; and claims Kelly "mentally, sexually and verbally" abused her.
Rodgers and her representative, celebrity attorney Gloria Allred, spoke to the media before meeting with NY police on Monday, with Allred claiming that Kelly had launched a "campaign of intimidation and retaliation" against Rodgers, CBS News reports. The letter contained "compromising photos", demanded Rodgers release test results "proving the origin of her STD claim", and threatened to enlist "10 personal male witnesses testifying about her sex life", Rodgers said.
This comes after Chance The Rapper made an appearance in the Lifetime docu-series 'Surviving R. Kelly'.
Allred said that private photographs of Rodgers had been posted to the now-deleted page.
Since the six-part documentary detailing allegations against Kelly premiered, multiple artists have apologized for working with him, including Lady Gaga, Nick Cannon and Chance the Rapper.
If the cops take up the case in NY, R. Kelly will be the subject of three criminal investigations, since authorities and Georgia and IL are looking into abuse allegations surrounding the alleged "sex cult" the singer is overseeing.More news: "Spider-Man: Far From Home" teaser trailer previews battle with Mysterio

In a previous interview with Rolling Stone, Chance the Rapper said: "Maybe I didn't care because I didn't value the accusers' stories because they were black women".
"No woman should be criticized, shamed or retaliated against for speaking the truth", Rodgers said at the news conference.
R. Kelly´s lawyer, Steve Greenberg, told AFP the letter allegedly sent by the singer was "a complete fabrication".
"We are here today to let Mr. Kelly know in no uncertain terms that he can not and will not intimidate his alleged victims into keeping silent", Allred said.
Chicago police also confirmed they had spoken to the Ignition singer after the Cook County State's Attorney's office received a tip that two women were being held against their will at the star's residence in Trump Tower. During that time she says Kelly instructed her to call him "daddy" and would lock her up for hours at a time.
