After winning the Heisman Trophy and leading the Sooners to a semi-final playoff spot, former OU quarterback Kyler Murray says he has made a decision about his future. "Kyler Murray would make a lot of sense in that situation given that Miami loved Baker Mayfield a year ago".
"I have started an extensive program to further prepare myself for the upcoming National Football League workouts and interviews", Murray said.
Murray's locker remained empty on Monday, Feb. 11, 2019, in the spring training clubhouse of the Oakland Athletics, who say they are uncertain when or if the Heisman Trophy victor will report to the baseball team he signed with last summer.
Back in October, Kliff Kingsbury was still the head coach of the Texas Tech Red Raiders when a reporter asked him about Oklahoma Sooners standout quarterback Kyler Murray.More news: Epic Games utilizes Fortnite advertisements to thwart Apex Legends

Murray will be one of the top quarterback prospects of the 2019 draft and will get a chance to exhibit his skills at the NFL combine February 26-March 4 in Indianapolis and subsequent workouts for NFL talent evaluators ahead of the 2019 NFL Draft on April 25-27 in Nashville.
According to a report from Jason La Canfora, Murray is signing with Erik Burkhardt of Select Sports Group. Murray was the ninth overall pick in last June's baseball amateur draft, and the outfielder agreed to a minor league contract with Oakland for a $4.66m signing bonus. Thanks to his decision, he will return $1.29 million of the $1.5 million bonus and forfeit the remaining $3.16 million. This is the argument that pro-Murray fans take.
"This guy is fun to watch play football", said Billy Beane, the A's executive vice president of business operations, of Oklahoma's two-sport sensation. "To say somebody could or couldn't, I'm not here to say that".
The 49ers have spent three first round picks on defensive linemen, but in a loaded class for defensive linemen, they can't pass up the chance to take Josh Allen who had 17 sacks at Kentucky a year ago. "Something like that is something that is part of our private discussions".
