This was announced along with plenty more information during an Investor Day event. Other new releases will appear on Disney+ after their run in theatres and after the cycle out of the home video sales window, executives have said.
Disney is developing numerous new TV shows and films based on some of the studio's most beloved brands, including Star Wars, Pixar, and Marvel.
In its first year, Disney+ will feature a giant library its content from the previously mentioned studios along with content from Disney Channel and, most importantly, The Simpsons!
Disney+ will be offering multiple exclusive and original titles to its service, across all of its hubs.
Also available at the start will be 18 Pixar movies and every one of their theatrical shorts, as well as numerous Star Wars movies. Disney has also sought to differentiate itself from Netflix, with Iger telling analysts last summer that Disney would use its marquee brands to be "in the quality game", as opposed to emphasizing volume. Marvel heroes like Falcon, Winter Soldier, and Scarlet Witch are all getting shows, and there will also be live-action spinoff shows for the Star Wars franchise.
A new series of Pixar shorts based around the new Toy Story 4 character Forky titled, Forky Asks a Question.

NatGeo will roll out 250+ hours worth of content at launch, including the 2019 Oscar and BAFTA Best Documentary victor Free Solo. No word yet on if others will be included or added later.

This content will join an impressive collection of more than 7,500 television episodes and 500 films including blockbuster hits from 2019 and beyond.
