Irving parted ways with longtime agent Jeff Wechsler on Wednesday, clearing the way for him to ultimately work with Jay-Z's Roc Nation prior to the start of National Basketball Association free agency on June 30, sources said.
National Basketball Association free agency will officially begin in less than three weeks, though it seems Boston Celtics point guard Kyrie Irving is already close to making a decision about his free agency destination.

Boston, meanwhile, hasn't received any concrete information about Irving's free-agency decision, according to Bulpett. Recently, it was made public that Irving won't be using his player option in Boston and that he will be shopping himself around.
None of those players are as exciting - or franchise-changing - as Durant or Irving, though, and each of their incumbent teams can pay them more money and over more years.
"I needed just some time to kind of be back in Boston and feel great about different things I wanted to explore in my career", Irving said at the time.
