Brooke Henderson Captures First LPGA Title, Sunice Wins Too

Jordan Spieth has done wonders for mega-sports brand, Under Armour, as each month they keep growing golf offerings and take market share from big players like Nike and adidas. Now Sunice, a Canadian outdoor apparel company is hoping having a burgeoning star on the LPGA Tour, in Brooke Henderson will do the same for their brand.

Henderson secured her first LPGA title in style and Sunice at the Cambia Portland Classic.  In winning by eight strokes over her nearest competitor, Henderson also set a new 72-hole scoring record for the event.

With the win Henderson became the third player in LPGA history to win before her 18th birthday.  She finished the tournament with a 72-hole score of 267, 21 strokes under par.  Henderson also qualified for the Evian Championship with the win.

“We are extremely proud to have Brooke Henderson wearing Sunice apparel,” said Conrad Tappert, President of Sunice.  “She played sensational golf in Portland and has a very bright future ahead of her.  Brooke has a tremendous amount of poise for her age and that was reflected in her first LPGA victory.”

Today Sunice is recognized as the No. 1 Canadian Golf outerwear brand, and is worn by numerous professionals on both the American and European PGA Tour, and LPGA Tour. Tomorrow, I’m sure the brand will look to capitalize on Henderson and the fact that she is one of the best women’s golfers in the world and a very marketable sports personality that could transcend the sport of golf.
